My Christmas List

My Christmas Wishlist
Charlotte Tilbury 'Gift of Goddess Skin Set | Minnie Ears Pandora Charm | Beats Wireless Headphones | Slip Pillowcase | Suede Jacket | Platform Slip Ons | Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick 'Pillowtalk' | Mason Pearson Hairbrush |/ Patent Pouch | Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM | Sigma Brush Set | Button Uggs | Away Luggage Set of 2

Hey, guys! With pretty much only one week left until Christmas, I thought it would be fun to show you all what I have on my own personal list. If you need any last minute ideas of what to get your girlfriend, your sister, your mom or even what to ask for yourself, hopefully these might help inspire you. Some of these items I shared in my other gift guides (which you can find here).

I've heard great things about the skincare items from Charlotte Tilbury, but with the hefty price tag on each individual item, this set is a great way to test out 3 of their best products for the price of one!

I am so in love with my Pandora bracelet and I always get a new charm at Christmas. Last year, my Dad was on a business trip in Shanghai and stopped by the Pandora store at Shanghai Disneyland and picked me up another bracelet with a charm of their castle, so now I have one bracelet dedicated to Disney charms and another dedicated to regular charms and I always switch off which one I get a new charm for. I've been dying over this adorable Minnie Ears charm!

I'm also asking for new makeup brushes since the ones I have are ones I've been using for a long time and I unfortunately have not treated them the best. I've heard great things about the Sigma brushes and this set gives you every brush you could ever need.

I 100% know I'm not getting a Louis Vuitton for Christmas, but it doesn't hurt to let Santa know! I don't own any designer bags yet and I'm planning on making the Neverfull my first one. Everyone I know who has one RAVES about the quality and functionality of it. I feel like it's a staple every girl should have.

One thing that I've been needing for a while is a new luggage set. I was going back and forth between this Away set and another, but I've heard nothing but positive things about Away and it has a built-in charger which was a huge plus for me.

So if you're stuck trying to find a gift for someone, I think any of the above items would be great gifts! Comment below with what is on your wishlist this year.

Fashion Rules That Are Ok To Break

We've all been told that there are some rules that we should all follow when it comes to getting dressed, and when we were growing up, not many of us knew better to know that we could actually break those rules. In the last 5 years, I've learned that when it comes to fashion, rules were meant to be broken. Fashion should be fun and our style should express who we are, so we should be free to decide what we want to wear and when. Who even made up these rules anyway, and why are we "bound" to listen to them? So I've compiled a list of a few of the rules that I think everyone should break.

No White After Labor Day

This is for sure one of the most widely known fashion rules out there, and it really hold no merit today. Back in the 19th century, women tried to distinguish themselves between those that came from "old money" and those that came from "new money" by secretly changing the rules of fashion. So all the old money ladies got together and declared that they would stop wearing white after a certain day to separate the two groups, and eventually it became fashion law that after labor day wearing white was a no-no for anyone who was part of high society. It's all so petty (and I'm actually secretly impressed by it all, I live for pettiness). But hellloooo, have you ever heard of "winter whites"? These rules do not apply anymore and wearing white in the fall/wintertime can look super chic. A nice crisp white pair of jeans paired with a cozy camel colored sweater make a gorgeous outfit for fall.

Navy and Black Don't Match

While they may seem to not be compatible, black and navy can actually compliment each other really well and I say you should definitely be wearing them together. Black and navy are generally similar, so they look really good when they're layered on top of one another so that their differences are more apparent, especially if you add in a different texture, like leather pants with a wool sweater.  The fact is, neutral colors always work well together, so whether it's black and navy, black and brown - you're good to go.

Petite Women Shouldn't Wear Long Dresses and Skirts

Being a petite girl myself, I've been told my whole life that there are just certain things shorter girls cannot wear - and longer skirts are usually on that list. I've learned though that while some of those rules are smart to abide by, longer skirts can actually make us short girls look a little taller, as long as everything is tailored correctly, that is. In the image above, Jean from the blog Extra Petite realized that the skirt she was wearing was not the right length. It should have been a few inches longer to fall between the ankle and the top of the foot, or a little bit shorter to really work to her height. But as you can see her outfit is still super cute and she looks amazing.

Your Shoes and Handbag Must Match

While matching you accessories to your outfit is never a bad thing, it can be fun to mix things up a little. Don't feel the need to carry a red bag just because you're wearing red shoes, mixing colors and patterns can really enhance a look - if it's done the right way. Sometimes keeping everything neutral but then relying on your bag or your shoes to provide a nice "pop" of color can do an outfit wonders. So while it's totally ok to do so, you don't have to follow that order every time you get dressed.

Saying No To Double Denim

Ah the Canadian Tuxedo. It's a bit obvious that you probably shouldn't always pair denim together that are the same wash. But pairing a chambray shirt with dark-wash jeans can look amazing. It's totally an "It Girl" street style outfit that the likes of Gigi Hadid and Chrissy Teigen have worn several times.

What are your least favorite style rules? Share the ones you always break in the comments!

The Beauty Guru Gift Guide

Beauty Guru Gift Guide

Slip Pure Silk Pillowcase // IT Cosmetics Brush Set // Morphe Eye Palette // Too Faced 'Better Than Sex' Mascara // GlamGlow Mask // Compact Mirror // Brush Cleaning Pad // Lorac Pro Contour Palette // Makeup Bag // Deborah Lippman Nail Polish Set // Charlotte Tilbury 'Beauty Icons' Set

Hey there, beauties! For my second gift guide for 2017, I'm rounding up all the gifts any Beauty Queen would love. She's the girl who is always up to date on this latest beauty products, spends so much time in Sephora it's like she works there, and her makeup/hair is always impeccable.

I've included a couple of my personal favorite items like the Too Faced 'Better Than Sex' Mascara and the GlamGlow Mud Mask. The mascara is one of the best out there - the shape of the brush helps to separate your lashes to perfectly fan them out. This mask is one that I use all the time when my skin needs a reset. It's made out of French Sea Clay, Volcanic Pumice Rock, Green Tea Leaf Pieces and essential oils to really purify your skin, leaving it softer and brighter.

I stopped into Sephora last week and picked up some goodies while they were having their 3x points promo. I'll be trying them out and I'll share my thoughts on them in a future post.

Also included in the gift guide are items that she needs to keep her beauty treasures clean and organized. This Sigma Brush Cleaning Pad is necessary for not only keeping brushes in tip top shape, but to also keep your skin clear, and this one is the best! And what beauty lover doesn't want an adorable case with a saying that is totally relevant for carrying all her goodies?

If she's into more of the luxury brands, which let's be honest, who isn't, think about getting her Charlotte Tilbury's 'The Icons" set. Charlotte's products are used by the biggest names in Hollywood and the products that are included are some of her best and most sought after. This is definitely on my own list.

I hope this guide was helpful for you! Check back later this week and I'll review my recent Sephora purchases. I know reviews always help me before making beauty purchases and before I purchase something I always look at what people think of it. Have a great week, guys!

Weekly Roundup

Whew, what a week! I don't know about you guys, but for some reason I had the hardest time keeping track of what day it was. It's the worst to wake up on a Tuesday thinking it's Friday. But I'm so happy that today is actually Friday. I'm hoping to spend this weekend getting the rest of my Christmas decorations up and wait by the door for my Cyber Monday purchases to arrive!

With all the amazing sales that were going on all week, I started doing some early Christmas shopping. I'm typically not the type of person to start buying gifts so early, but I couldn't not take advantage of the money saving opportunity. I also might have been following the "one for you, two for me" policy, so I also got some presents for myself (thanks, Santa).

I thought I'd round up some things that caught my eye this week, just to recap. When I was trying to think of things that interested me enough to put on this list, I found that it was harder than I expected to remember the things that I had looked at online or read even the day before, so this really helped me think back through my week. I also realize I should probably start paying closer attention to what happens to and around me during the day!

A Few Of My Favorite Things...

  • The Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs themed windows at Saks this year and they are so amazing!
  • Last week I went to the Downton Abbey exhibit in NYC, which I recommend to any Downton fan. I think it's running until the end of January.
  • When I was in NY, my skin totally betrayed me and was just so bad, and I've been spending the whole week trying to recover from it. Next time I'm for sure using these tips while traveling.
  • Hollywood Roundtable Interview. Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone. Enough said.
  • I bought this fleece pullover right before Thanksgiving and I love it, I got it in Maroon and I put it on as soon as I get home from work every day.
  • This post from Rachel at Pink Peonies motivated me to start the BBG program - next week though. I gotta mentally and emotionally prepare for this journey.
  • Can't forget to include my favorite meme of the week - who doesn't do this, though?

TV + Celebrities + Obsessions...

  • Sadly, Prince Harry is officially off the market and is now engaged to Meghan Markle. *sigh*
  • The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 8 trailer - OMG!!!
  • In other Bravo related news, Vanderpump Rules is starting really soon and it looks like we will finally get closure about the future of Tom Tom...
  • How did I only just find out that Cameran from Southern Charm had her baby? And how many onesies has Craig sewn for her so far? These are the things that keep me up at night.
  • RHOC Season 12 ended this week with a tearful reunion between Vicki, Tamra and Shannon, something no one thought would ever happen again. But will it last...(the answer is no).
  • Chrissy Teigen is pregnant again - and yes, it's probably John's.
  • I just finished binging Mindhunter on Netflix and wow, was I impressed. As someone who is very interested in the psychology behind serial killers (yeah, it's weird I know, my mom says this to me all the time) this show was fascinating to me.

On My List...

  • How snuggly does this teddy bear coat look though?
  • I am obsessed with this Charlotte Tilbury Micro-powder, it really makes you look airbrushed!
  • This tie-sleeve sweater is one of my new favorites, I get so many compliments on it. I got it in white, but the rust color is giving me heart eyes.
  • Picked up this crossbody bag during the Cyber Monday sale and I can't wait for it to get here. It'll be a nice pop of color during the winter.
  • Also just purchased these weatherproof boots in black suede.
  • Loving this herringbone scarf. Also loving this one! You really can never have too many scarves.
  • You also can never have to many pairs of black jeans - I might add these to my collection.
  • This would be an amazing dress for Christmas parties.
  • I'm always looking for shoes to wear to work, and I think these mules are so cute (and they're on sale)!

In Case You Missed It...

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Review

I absolutely love staying at the resorts at Walt Disney World. While they may be on the more expensive side compared to staying off-site, the benefits you get from staying on property completely outweigh the potential money savings. During my trip to Disney World in January, I stayed at the Polynesian Village Resort for the first time. It's been a dream of mine to stay at every single Deluxe Resort on Disney property, and I have been waiting for the day I would stay at the Poly. There's always just been something about it, something so purely Disney - it's one of the original WDW Resorts - that it piqued my interests. I also heard a rumor that apparently John Lennon signed the document that ended The Beatles at the Polynesian, so it not only had Disney history, it was a part of pop culture history. Two of my favorite things...

THEME
The resort is themed after the South Pacific, so it obviously has a very vibrant tiki culture. Literally, as soon as you start walking into the main building - aka the Great Ceremonial House - you're greeted by flaming tiki torches, small cascading waterfalls and tons of lush greenery. You basically feel like you're on an exotic island, but also kind of get some"Brady Bunch Goes to Hawaii" vibes. There are 11 longhouses where guests can stay and each one is named after an island in the South Pacific. You can even attend a luau and take a dip in a volcano pool!

The Grand Ceremonial House is kind of the center of everything. Inside is the Front Desk where you'll check in, the concierge, restaurants, gift shops and lounges. It's a very open and spacious area, great for just sitting and taking in the atmosphere (or people watching). When you check-in you'll be given a lei which is, let's be honest, a small token considering how much you're probably spending to stay here, but it's a nice way to start your trip off, and no they aren't real flowers. The Cast Members at the Polynesian are very kind and helpful, however, when we first arrived we did not have a great experience, which was a bummer, but throughout our stay the cast members we met totally made up for it. Overall, the ambiance of the resort is incredible thanks to the little details that Disney put into it and the theme is a favorite for many Disney fans.

ROOMS
We stayed in a Polynesian Villa Standard Deluxe Studio in the Moorea longhouse (you can see what the rooms look like here, I wasn't able to get any good pictures because we moved our stuff in right away and the room turned into a mess, lol). As a family of 5, we normally don't have a problem fitting into one hotel room, but this room specifically said it was made to fit 5, so we thought it would be a home run.

The room can definitely fit 5 people, we'll start with that. There's a queen bed, a queen sized pull out couch, and a single pull down Murphy bed. At about 450 square feet, they're a little bit bigger than the normal resort rooms, which are already the biggest Deluxe Resort rooms on property. However, the space is pretty cramped. We eventually got used to it, but we were not that enthusiastic about it in the beginning. The main living area is small because they used most of the space for the two bathrooms.

That's right two bathrooms! This was the part that worked out great for us, because after a long day at the parks, it was nice to not have to wait for someone to be done getting ready for bed before you could. I will also say that both the pull out couch and the Murphy bed were extremely comfortable. We slept well every night and were well rested for our days at the parks. There's also a cute little surprise when you open the Murphy bed...

Another thing I want to note is that in the regular rooms you can get 2 queen beds and a pull out couch, as well as a spacious bathroom. So while the actual square footage of the room may be smaller than the studio, I think you'll have more living space in a regular room - especially with a family of 5.

DINING
The Polynesian is not just a vacation destination, it's also a culinary oasis. Some of the most raved about food options on Disney property are at the Poly. I really think it's one of the only resorts, maybe apart from Animal Kingdom Lodge, where all the food options are loved by resort goers. Plus it's the only resort where you can get a Dole Whip...

The main Quick Service place is Captain Cook's, which is open 24 hours, so it's a great option when you just need something to eat after coming back from the parks. Kona Island is great for breakfast, and you can pick something up real quick and hop on the monorail! Pineapple Lanai is where you'll find the Dole Whips. It is located right outside of the Great Ceremonial House as you're heading towards the pool. There's also options for when you're just spending a chill day at the pools - Barefoot Pool Bar and the Oasis Bar & Grill are great options.

Trader Sam's Grogg Grotto is absolutely awesome, and totally worth a visit even if you aren't staying on property! The drinks and the food make it really good, but the atmosphere is what makes it great. The story behind it connects to the Jungle Cruise, and is further proof that Disney is the master of the details. Trader Sam is the head salesman of the Jungle Cruise Navigational Company, and, as an extension of his profession of creating head-shrinking potions, has discovered a passion for mixology. As he travels the world looking for ingredients, he has picked up many unique souvenirs and brought them back to the Grotto. You'll want to get here early because it's a small space that has a long waiting list - we showed up at around 6pm and the wait was about an hour! There's lots of little details in this place, so definitely take the time to look around and appreciate them!

Kona Cafe is another favorite of frequent Disney goers. Most of what I've heard about Kona is that it has more unique food options than any other restaurant at the resort, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The one thing that I've seen people rave about the most is the Tonga Toast - deep fried thick-cut Sourdough bread stuffed with ripe bananas rolled in cinnamon sugar *drool*.

Pro Tip: If you can't get a reservation here, you can also get the Tonga Toast at Captain Cook's for a little cheaper.

We ate at 'Ohana the last night of our trip and it was truly an experience I will never forget! This was our first time eating here out of all the times we've been to WDW, so I was very, very excited. It's one of those restaurants that everyone recommends and raves about - and honestly, it did not disappoint. The food was so delicious, but there is a lot of it!

They start you off with a loaf of Pineapple Bread, then your server will bring a salad along with your drinks (I hear the Lapu Lapu is the best alcohol option). It's very hard not to fill up on these because the bread is amazing, but there's a lot more food to come and thankfully we knew that, so we were able to pace ourselves.

Next came the Honey Coriander Wings and Pork Dumplings - both were soo tasty. For the main course they brought out Noodles and Stir Fried Veggies, followed by skewers of freshly grilled chicken, shrimp and steak. It is essentially an all you can eat restaurant, so when I say don't fill up too quickly, I mean it! Every course was incredible and if we had the room for it, we would've kept eating. But I knew we couldn't leave without trying the dessert - the Bread PuddingOh. My. God. I have thought about this dessert every day of my life since. Not to be dramatic, but it's life changing.

LOCATION
In my opinion, one of the biggest perks of staying at The Poly is the location, and it's one of the things that really sets it apart from other resorts. As one of the Magic Kingdom-area resorts, it's so close to the park you can literally walk to the TTC. Our longhouse was right across from the pathway that leads to it, so it took us less than 5 minutes to get to the monorail. I am all about convenience so this basically private pathway really excited me. At the TTC, you can catch a monorail to EPCOT or Magic Kingdom, or take the ferry to MK as well.

You can also catch the monorail from the 2nd level of the Great Ceremonial House. From there, you can take the monorail to the Grand Floridian, Magic Kingdom, The Contemporary and the TTC. Everyone knows taking the monorail is basically a ride in and of itself, except for some reason on this trip none of the monorails had AC, so they were basically sweat boxes - #ThanksShanghai?

It's also great when you're coming back from the parks because you can take the resort monorails back from Magic Kingdom and it will take you on the same route and drop you right at the Great Ceremonial House. We would get off at the TTC just because our longhouse was closer to that, but it just shows you have multiple options depending on where on property your room is!

One of my favorite things about staying here was getting to sit on the beach with a Dole Whip and watch the firework show. The views are amazing and the atmosphere is so relaxing. You pretty much feel like you're on a beach vacation.

Overall, I really enjoyed our stay the Polynesian. I'm so happy that I was able to stay here and cross it off my bucket list. Staying at a Deluxe Resort definitely has it's perks and there really is no feeling like coming back from a day at the parks to a hotel with a great ambiance to continue the magic. Whenever people ask me if I think it's worth it to stay on property during a Disney vacation I always say yes! If not just for the convenience of transportation, but my family has also always found that when your hotel is an extension of Disney, it adds some pixie dust to your vacation. The Poly is one of the more expensive hotels, so it's a great place to stay if you've decided to treat yourself.

The Poly holds a very special place in the hearts of many Disney fans, and for good reason. The atmosphere here is unlike any other resort on property, plus you have instant access to Dole Whips so like...done, done and done.

What do you think about the Polynesian? What's your all time favorite Disney resort?

The Girl Boss Gift Guide

Girl Boss Gift Guide

eye mask // rose gold headphones // "the boss" coffee mug // mantra bracelet // kate spade watch // leather organizing clutch // charlotte tilbury face mask // portable charger // 2018 planner // "hustle darling" pen

Happy Monday, everyone! Christmas is only 6 weeks away (I know so crazy), and before we know it we'll be scrambling to buy gifts for all our loved ones. This year I've decided to do a little series of Gift Guides for all the types of people in your life. This week we're talking about gifts for the Girl Boss. You know who she is - she's the girl who seems to be running the world and holding it all together perfectly. All of these gifts would fit right into the Girl Boss' world, but I'm excited about one item in particular - this leather organizing clutch. It comes in seven different colors, is monogrammable, and holds absolutely everything! This is the ultimate tool to keep anyone organized. It has room for chargers, credit cards, tablets, phones, pens, passports, etc. It's perfect to keep in your bag whether you're going to work or going on a trip (this is definitely on my list this year!)

I also included some pampering items she'll need to rest and destress, like this AMAZING face mask and adorable sleep mask. As well as some logistical necessities like this 2018 planner and a portable charger, because every Girl Boss needs to keep her phone charger at all times.

Kylie Jenner's Lip Kit Review

You've probably already heard a million things about the Kylie Lip Kits by now, unless you've been living under a rock for the last few years. A couple of months ago I went back and forth with myself about whether or not I should (or needed to) purchase these. I'd heard great things, but I knew I could probably get a really great dupe somewhere else, so was it worth the hype? One day I just decided to bite the bullet and check them out. The kits notoriously sold out within minutes, so I was hoping there would be colors left that worked with my pale skin, and thankfully the ones I wanted were still in stock!

I'm not a big lipgloss person, so that's another reason I was hesitant. However I was looking for something that would give me a natural looking lip, so I thought why not? I decided to get Koko K. It's a really nice baby pink color that would be the type of color I would wear everyday. I also got Candy K, which is a berry color. Definitely not something I would everyday, but it's good for special occasions, or when I'm channeling those 90's vibes. It's also apparently one of Kylie's favorites, so I mean... I had to have it. Some of my other favorites are Penelope, High Maintenance, Posie K, Khlo$, and Libra

So let's talk about the cost. Each kit is $29, and it includes a matte lipstick and lipliner in the kit. If you spend over $40 you get free shipping, so I paid about $58 for both lip kits. $29 for lipliner and a lipstick seems expensive, but if you really think about it, most lipsticks at Sephora are around $20 and lipliners can go anywhere from $6 to $24 (depending on brands) by itself - so the lip kit is on par with other products in terms of price.

Now, let's get to the quality. My first impression of the product was obviously the packaging, which I am obsessed with. It's so cute and the lips with the melting lipstick is genius (people have actually gotten these tattooed on their bodies!). The products themselves are really good quality. The lip liner is very creamy and goes on easily. Unlike some other lipliners that feel like their cutting up your lips as you put them on. The lipstick has a nice applicator and the product smells like vanilla! I've heard that some people don't like this but I'm really into it. The colors are long lasting and are almost like a stain when it dries. I much prefer these to regular lip glosses because your hair doesn't get stuck in it and get all gooped up. It lasts pretty much all day, you can eat with it on and you'll see very little fading. When I swatched them on my hand I had to use a makeup remover wipe to get it off - just wiping it with a napkin won't do.

The good thing about the lipsticks is that you don't need to use a lot to get good coverage. I use a very thin layer and it's more than enough. One thing that I do want to point out is that the colors can apply darker than how they look in the bottle, I think it depends on the color of your lips, as is usual with any lipstick. My natural lip color is a bit on the darker side, so I actually apply a bit of concealer before I put the color on and it lightens the shade. But in contrast, my cousin has lighter colored lips than I do and it looked perfect without concealer for her.

All in all, the Kylie Lip Kits are really good. Unfortunately, most of the other colors she offers are too dark for my pale Irish skin, so I don't plan on buying any more. But I'm very happy with the 2 colors that I did get. They're super pigmented, long lasting, good quality and perfect for creating Kylie Jenner-esque lips. To anyone looking for similar items for not as much $, I've heard than NYX and ColorPop are good dupes for these lip sticks.

Do you have any of Kylie's lip kits? What do you think of them?

It Girl Approved Halloween Costumes

*Cue Nightmare Before Christmas music*
Halloween is right around the corner, you guys! Not really, we've got like 3 weeks, but if you're anything like me, you will put off nailing down a costume until a few days before and wonder why you didn't plan ahead. It's bound to happen. So this year I'm trying to be a bit more proactive about it. I'm not into the whole "sexy costume" thing - I tend to lean towards costumes that are culturally relevant. While I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a costume that I'd wear once, maybe twice - I really like to go all out and wow people. Recently, I've spent an inordinate amount of time researching some of the best costumes celebrities have worn to come up with some ideas for costumes that are not only 100% cool girl approved, but are also guaranteed to have that wow factor (and incite some jealousy, obvs).

Black Swan

Yes, Black Swan came out 7 years ago, but everyone still remembers it and you can make yourself a really badass looking ballerina. You can pretty much get everything you need from Amazon and a party store, so it's really not the difficult to put together either. If you want to do a costume with a friend, one of you can be the Black Swan and the other can be the White Swan and you guys will look so amazing!
Black Swan Halloween Costume

Victoria's Secret Angel

No, you're not going out in a lingerie set, relax. Everyone knows the real fun of being an Angel is hanging backstage with your girls before the show (and that's where we get all the best Instagram pics). This costume is super easy to put together and you will thank yourself for choosing to wear pajamas by the end of the night. All you need is to get a silk robe, curl your hair, and put on some natural makeup and you'll be the ready to rock Halloween like it's your runway. Practice you're smizing because you will need to look fierce in every photo. You could even use this for a group costume with your girls and all go as Angels!
Victoria's Secret Model Halloween Costume

Glam Vamp

Who doesn't love a good gothic outfit? You get to wear all black and you don't even have to smile - win/win. You can create the glamorous vampire look so many different ways, but the important thing to remember is a dark lip and hypnotic stare, that's what really completes the whole look, no matter what other makeup you've done. Check out Pinterest for some great makeup ideas. Extra points if you can get some real looking fangs!

Scream Queens

I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I am so upset that Scream Queens was cancelled. Was it possibly the greatest show on television? No. Did I relate to it on a deep, personal level? Also no, but was it entertaining as heck? YES. As far as I'm concerned, The Chanels will never die (except for Chanel #2, sorry Arianna). Even though the show is over, you can totally pull together a super chic costume styled after the always fashionable ladies. You'll have everyone saying "omg I love Scream Queens!" If all else fails, you can definitely turn this into a Clueless inspired costume, which is always It Girl approved!

I hope you guys enjoyed these halloween looks! I loved putting these together, it helped me really think about what I should choose for my costume. For more inspiration, check out this post for other last minute costume ideas!

What are you planning on going as for Halloween?

5 Things to Watch on Netflix This Fall

Even though it's still 80 degrees here in Georgia, I am emotionally and mentally in Fall mode (I've got a new sweater and legging on as I type this). I love the coziness this time of year brings and it always inspires me to find a new show to watch on Netflix. Also when the weather is a bit chillier I don't feel as guilty about staying inside, laying on the couch, 5 hours deep into a Netflix binge as I do during the summer. I still do it though...

I always have a hard time figuring out what I want to watch. Am I in the mood for a drama? A comedy? Should I rewatch Friends for the 10th time this year? It's a life changing decision. So I've listed out a couple of the shows that I've loved either watching in the last year or loved watching over again. Hopefully this makes your decision a little easier, because Fall isn't about thinking...it's about fitting as many episodes into a weekend binge as you can.

Gilmore Girls

Quite possibly one of the coziest shows ever - Gilmore Girls is the show to watch as we transition into Fall. I always get the itch to watch this around this time of year because a lot of the episodes take place in the autumn and Stars Hollow is the cutest, quaintest town that was screams sweater weather. The show itself is perfect for a good binge. You can snuggle up in a fluffy blanket with some hot chocolate and just enjoy the best quick, witty humor and heartfelt storylines. I love watching Gilmore Girls because it brings back happy memories of watching it when it originally was on, which was like ten years ago btw, and it gives you that wonderful nostalgic feeling.

Stranger Things

One of the best shows to come out of 2016, Stranger Things really gets you in the mood for Halloween. The vibe of the show is very Fall-ish to begin with so add in a boy disappearing, a girl with supernatural powers and a gross, scary monster and you've got yourself the perfect show to watch on a spooky October night. Season 2 is coming out at the end of the month, so you can definitely quickly binge this show to catch up before it premiers. Not even kidding, I started it on a Friday night and watched it until the early hours of the morning. Once you start watching, you can't stop.

How To Get Away With Murder

I have this thing for crime shows, and that thing is that I am obsessed with them. How To Get Away With Murder is the name of a law class taught by a tough, take no prisoners law professor who is not easily impressed, and chooses five of her best and brightest students to assist her with cases to gain "experience". Those students soon become entangled in a murder plot and have to use what they've learned from said experience to get away with it. As you can expect, mysteries and dark revelations take over these students lives. It's another easy binge that will keep you coming back for more. The first season is the absolute best and will probably make you want to become a lawyer - the murderous things will not.

Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl is just one of those shows that you can watch over and over again and it never gets old. A lot of the episodes are set in the fall and winter - and there is absolutely nothing better than seeing New York during that time of year. Many of the storylines are easy to follow, but will draw you in like a moth to a flame. You don't have to think about anything too hard, apart from when you're thinking about who GG actually is and how it doesn't make any sense. I love to watch this show and dream about being Blair Waldorf. Also, you get to watch Chuck Bass be Chuck Bass- enough said.

The Crown

If you love history like I do then you will easily fall in love with The Crown. It starts at the beginning of Queen Elizabeth II's reign and gives an inside look to her life as Queen - both professionally and personally. The show is incredibly well made and for the most part, pretty historically accurate. I'm also totally enamored with the Royal Family and their history so this is right up my alley. It provides a really interesting perspective into the events that shaped her into the Queen she has become and the strains the crown put on those closest to her. It's Netflix's most expensive series to date, and it is easy to see why. Visually, this show is stunning and the actors give incredible performances. I would recommend this show at any time of the year, but there's something about it that just screams Fall.

So those are some of my favorite shows to watch that would be perfect for the Fall. I also just realized that I think I associate most of these shows with this time of year because that's when I started watching them! Weird. What are some shows you guys enjoy watching during the Fall?

My Favorite Podcasts

Podcasts are all the rage right now. Everyone and their mother seems to have a podcast and every day a new one pops up. We are so blessed to live in a time when you can find a podcast about literally any subject under the sun, from current events, history and finance, to arts and crafts, cooking and crime. I've been hooked on them for about a year now and I, for one, can't get enough of them. I listen to them all the time, so I have a couple that I keep in rotation. I'm letting you guys in on my absolute favorites and telling you why you need to listen to them and where you should start.

WDW Radio

I discovered WDW radio during a time when I was suffering from severe Disney withdrawals (which I experience quite frequently btw). I had never listened to a podcast before in my life and definitely wasn't on the hunt for one, so how this fell into my lap, I can't remember, but I'm so happy it did. Whether you're crazy Disney obsessed like me, or just enjoy a nostalgic Disney film every so often, you will love this one. The host, Lou Mongello, has such an immense knowledge and passion for Disney, that I felt a connection to him right from the beginning. He is such a genuine person and truly loves what he does. He's had this podcast for 10 years, so there's plenty of episodes to listen to. He gives tips and tricks for Disney vacations, live dining reviews, historical facts and interviews with the people who made Disney what it is today. This really is the ultimate podcast for anyone who is interested in Disney.

Favorite Episodes: #426 The Disney Decade, #452 10 Secrets You Never Knew About Main Street, USA, and #492 Disney's Haunted Mansion: History, Secrets and Stories

You Must Remember This

My love for pop culture is what drew me to this one. I read about it on another blog and when I read the description I knew that this was a podcast I NEEDED. I also really love the format of it. Instead of releasing a new episode every week of the year, Karina Longwood creates seasons on a specific topic that covers "all the biggest stories, legends and scandals from Hollywood's first century". She does extensive research on each topic and delves so deep into the history of the subject she's talking about. She also does an amazing job at giving each episode a very creepy and mysterious vibe that really adds something special. If you love old Hollywood then you will die over this podcast.

Favorite Seasons: Sex Degrees of Joan Crawford, Charles Manson's Hollywood, and MGM Stories

Bitch Sesh: A Real Housewives Breakdown

Like I've said before, I love Reality TV, so I spend an obscene amount of time watching the Real Housewives franchise. A friend of mine who loves the franchise just as much as I do told me about this podcast so I had to check it out. I was hooked when I realized that Casey Wilson was one of the co-hosts because I love her (RIP Happy Endings). Casey and Danielle are like the friends I wish I had to talk about the latest going ons of the housewives with every day, so this podcast is basically my opportunity. They are emotionally, physically and mentally invested in this franchise, so they provide deep insight into the best moments of each episode and they are absolutely hilarious. I've tried listening to this at work but I started laughing so hard I looked like I was silently convulsing at my desk. I had to turn it off because that is not work approps. If you are a truly dedicated housewives fan you have to check this one out!

Favorite Episodes: All of them tbh

Lore

I've always been interested in myths and legends and I love learning about the origins of them and how they have affected our culture. Lore does an amazing job at taking the superstitions, fears and stories that we all know of and explain their dark origins. Each week Aaron Mahnke explores new haunted tales, like witches, murders and mystical beings. It provides an unbelievable insight into human nature and how these histories have had such an impact on our culture. Picture yourself sitting around a campfire with your friends in total darkness and sharing scary stories - that's where this podcast transports you to, except all of these stories are very much true. I also just found out that it's being made into a TV show which should be really cool!

Favorite Episodes: They Made a Tonic, A Devil on the Roof, and The Others

So there they are, my favorite podcasts. I realized I seem to stay in the mystery/pop culture genre, but there are so many amazing podcasts out there that I haven't even discovered yet. If any of you guys have a favorite podcast, let me know what it is!

Hello It's Me...

Hey babes! You may (or may not) have noticed that I have taken a break from the blogging world for the last few months. I took some time to focus on my new job and figure out my new "adult" life. I realize though that I need some kind of creative outlet to keep me sane.

I needed the break to re-evaluate my life. To not only figure out who I am, what I envision for my future and what goals I have for myself, but to also have the ability to focus 100% of my attention on being successful at my job. Since I've just passed my one year anniversary (seriously, where has the time gone?), I now want to add in something fun and creative.

Since then, I've set some goals for myself that I want to accomplish in the, hopefully, near future and this post is the beginning of that journey. I am officially relaunching my blog with a new name and a new look that really reflects where I am in my life now. I want this space to be exactly what I would want to find on a blog, a source of inspiration for girls who love fashion and beauty, with some advice for navigating through life sprinkled in between!

So thanks for reading about my new little corner of the world. I can't wait to begin this journey with you!
